The collective of ChooseYourself and Filles an actions is a collaborative effort between the two groups to bridge the gap between young feminists from Anglophone Africa and Francophone Africa. This gap is mostly rooted in colonial borders, language barriers, and not having enough resources that connect young African feminists, to build solidarity and learn from each other but mostly organize together and collectively. We started conversations for young women and girls in Benin to embrace black feminist tools and language to humanize their experiences and to organize for their rights in their communities.
The collective of ChooseYourself and Filles an actions receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
