De Pueblo y Barrio is a space for community and neighbourhood organizing led by Afro-indigenous youth of sexual diversity and dissidence, from the Montecillos mountain range and other territories in the region of Honduras. It is a space of multiple creations and resistances that involve different areas such as the sowing of the land, the recovery of language and native spiritualities, the defense of the human rights of women, children and Afro-indigenous Lencas people of sexual diversity. We carry out workshops and political trainings through popular anti-patriarchal, anti-racist, anti-colonial education. We share our experiences of resistance through our radio program called Sembrando Rebeldias, which is broadcasted on community and digital radios.
De Pueblo y Barrio receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
