Feminists in Kenya is an African feminist movement that offers a collective space where African women’s realities and experiences can move from the margins to the center. In doing this, our ultimate purpose is to create an emancipatory activism space that shares in community, joy and resistance as dialectical feminist values for organizing against oppressive systems.
The organizing vision is rooted in re-organizing and redistributing power to facilitate creating alternative models of existing outside of the current oppressive systems. They also hope to build a vibrant feminist movement in Kenya that amplifies feminist discourse through practice and achieves its full transformative potential.
Feminists in Kenya receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
