INITIATIVE TILE

INITIATIVE TILE, which means sun in the Bambara language—a symbol that has been used to mark the inclusion and sub-regional impact it promotes—is an association of black feminists in West Africa, identifying as cisgender lesbians. It was created with the aim of achieving an egalitarian Africa that is more respectful of human rights by demonstrating equity for all, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity and handicap.

INITIATIVE TILE receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
