Kenyan Peasants League Women’s Collective

Founded in 2018, the Kenyan Peasants League Women’s Collective is a collective within the Kenyan Peasants League movement that promotes peasantry and agro-ecology as a means of ensuring food sovereignty. The Women’s Collective has a peasants’ feminism program that focuses on women’s communal land rights and access to natural resources such as land, water and seeds. The collective also advocates against gender based violence, femicide, land grabbing and other issues affecting women within the community.

The Kenyan Peasants League Women’s Collective receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
