Nègès Mawon

NÈGÈS MAWON is a Haitian feminist organization fighting mainly against the consequences of the patriarchal organization of society on women. They aim at the liberation of all forms of violence and oppression suffered by Haitian girls and women and inscribe their feminist struggle in the ideal of justice and freedom carried by the revolution of 1804. To reach this political horizon, the team work every day to improve the conditions of women and girls in Haiti.

They are involved in the promotion, defense and reinforcement of women’s rights at the social, cultural, economic and political levels. This struggle is also part of a perspective of liberation against any system that hinders the full enjoyment of women, everywhere in the world, of their humanity, their rights and their bodies.

NÈGÈS MAWON receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Sustain Fund.
