Odara-Instituto da Mulher Negra

Odara-Instituto da Mulher Negra is a Black feminist organization, centered in African legacy, based in Salvador, Bahia. The Institute emerged in 2010 with the commitment to strengthen the autonomy and guarantee the rights of Black women, and to fight against racial and gender violence. From this vision, they develop and support programs, projects and agendas that aim to combat and mitigate the effects of racism, sexism, LBTphobia and related forms of oppression, which create many disadvantages for the Black population, and especially for Black women.

Odara-Instituto da Mulher Negra receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
