Women Spaces Africa is a feminist disability-led organization that mobilizes and increases individual awareness and agency of marginalized disability communities to become the frontline defenders of their human rights. WSA directly provides skills and increases knowledge of community members in creating awareness and addressing stigma on SRHR issues affecting marginalized communities of women and girls with disabilities in Kenya, and ensures that these efforts are embedded in the national advocacy efforts. WSA also brings the voice of girls and women with disabilities to communities’ regional and global advocacy spaces through strategic partnership and participation in high-profile advocacy events and campaigns. Our approach is guided by post-colonial feminist principles, Charter of Feminist Principles for African Feminists, ICPD+25, and Maputo protocols that guarantee African women of reproductive age with disability from low-income settings access and knowledge of their sexual reproductive health.
Women Spaces Africa receives funding support from the Black Feminist Fund through our Solidarity Fund.
